Public encouraged to take DEQ’s food waste survey

The Department of Environmental Quality is working with the Ohio State University Food Waste Collaborative as part of DEQ’s effort to reduce food waste. The Food Waste Collaborative has been engaged to conduct a survey “to understand the habits of consumers, the amount of food wasted and what kind of food is wasted. Understanding the habits of consumers will inform outreach and help develop food waste reduction strategies.” (Source)

The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. Multiple choice and open-ended questions are designed to “assess and understand household food waste attitudes and behaviors. You will also be asked questions about you and your household.”

Please encourage others to participate in this important survey.
