Oak Grove Community Closet in Colonial Beach is looking for donations for their Winter Coat and Winter Clothing FREE Giveaway Saturday, October 17.
The organization is also looking for partners to actively participate in this community effort. Think faith institutions, businesses large and small, nonprofits, community groups, and homeowners associations. Participation can include active and passive clothing drives, youth-organized drives, and matching cash donations.
Oak Grove Community Closet has set a high goal for this event: To provide a winter coat to everyone who attends the October event.
The org is collecting winter coats and cold weather essentials for infants through adults, including plus sizes. Specifically, Oak Grove Community Closet would like to give away coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and winter boots.
