If you missed the news, Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office released their 2025 annual report (PDF) last week. You will find the number of calls for service and breakdown by type, information about programs the office operates, and arrest types and data for CYs 2024 and 2025.
We learned, for example, that NCSO dispatches calls for marine rescues. Smith Point Sea Rescue does the work on a volunteer basis. The pie chart to the right shows that a teensy part of the calls for service were handled by SPSR. The teensy part is the dark teal at the top of the pie between fire and law enforcement reponses. SPSR accounted for 34 of 11,556 responses.
