It’s after Labor Day so it must be festival season on the Northern Neck.
Two annual fab events take place in Irvington this fall:
- Steamboat Era Museum 2024 Crab Festival, Saturday, September 21. The event features crabs and for non-crab eaters, hot dogs or pork BBQ, soft drinks, and alcohol (sold separately). Local artisans and others have donated handcrafted items to the raffle and silent auction. This fun and casual event makes for a great double (or triple) date!
- Chesapeake Academy Community Oyster Roast, Saturday, October 26. Oysters will be prepared in a variety of ways, from raw to fried, and, in addition, clam chowder and non-seafood items will be available. DeadRise will be playing.
