The news that more people are dining solo has been all over the news:
- Party of one: Restaurants are catering to a growing number of solo diners (AP)
- More people than ever are eating alone at restaurants. This is why (CNN)
- The rise of solo dining: How restaurants are adapting to a new trend (rollingout)
- The Rise of Solo Dining: How to Make Your Restaurant a Solo Dining Destination (Lightspeed)
Certainly, the trend may not have blown up on the Northern Neck. But the increase in aging Millenials and GenZs (look right for deets about ages) who are visiting and retirees who have moved here is making the incidence more likely.
