The Power of Place: NNK 250 kicks off programs with speaker series

250 NNK Northern Neck

NNK 250’s first programmatic foray into celebrating the big 2-5-0 starts in February with the Signature Speaker Series. The theme is “The Power of Place” and the five speakers will tackle the theme from a variety of perspectives including the indigenous population, migration, and labor.

  4. May 5, Chief Anne Richardson, Indigenous Perspectives on the Northern Neck and Power of Place (The Lodge at Cat Point Creek, 2570 Newland Road, Warsaw, VA)
  5. June 9, Dr. Philip Levy, The Leedstown Resolutions–Connecting Consumerism and Revolution on the Northern Neck (George Washington Birthplace National Monument, 1732 Popes Creek Road, Colonial Beach, VA)
