2023 hurricane season predictions from AccuWeather and The Weather Company

AccuWeather’s forecast for the season: It “will be less active than the majority of seasons since 1995 and may feature a similar number of storms when compared to 2022. But that doesn’t mean there won't be dangers.”

AccuWeather goes into the details of their forecast, explaining the push and pull of the warm Atlantic and El Niño among other factors.

The Weather Company’s outlook has more activity during the season than CSU, but only slightly more, as is shown in the image to the right. Like AccuWeather, The Weather Company explains the roles of El Niño and El Niña.
