Lancaster County

  • Lancaster County Public Schools has published the SY 2018-2019 Lancaster Middle School supply list (Word). And LMS is asking for donations to classrooms:
    • Packs of pencils (Students are always in need of replacement pencils throughout the year!)
    • Disinfectant (Clorox) wipes
    • Bottle of hand sanitizer
    • Pencil top erasers
    • Highlighters
    • Dry erase markers
    • Zipper seal baggies (gallon, quart or sandwich size)

  • Lancaster County Public Schools has published the official calendar for SY 2018-2019 (PDF).
  • There's a Town of Irvington Commons Development Committee meeting Thursday, June 21 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Irvington Town Office (235 Steamboat Rd, Irvington).


Northumberland County

  • The Northumberland County Treasurer's Office has a full-time position opening. Learn more and apply; applications due July 3.

Richmond County

  • The Richmond County Wetlands Board is holding a public hearing Thursday, June 28 at 7:00 pm at the County Office Building (Warsaw, in the Board Meeting Room) to consider two applications:
    Sharon L. Faina and James F. Kurdziel, 2477 Simonson Road, Farnham, VA 22460, has applied for permission to construct a rip-rap sill with associated beach nourishment and wetlands vegetation plantings along their Lancaster Creek shoreline, located at 2477 Simonson Road and further identified as Parcel 85 of Tax Map 43.     Paul L. and Loretta G. Kitchen, 8004 University Drive, Richmond, VA 23229, has applied for permission to construct multiple timber groins with associated beach nourishment and rip-rap scour protection along their Rappahannock River shoreline, located on Little Florida Road further identified as Parcels 1 and 2 of Tax Map 42A.
