Tools and Resources
- Want to design vector images? Try the free Gravit Designer, "a full-featured, free vector design app right at your fingertips." You can use the tool online or download. And there's plenty of help if you need it. They've got a YouTube channel for tutorials, an active discussion and peer-to-peer help section, and a blog focused on helping users rather than tooting their own horn.
- 10 Most Effective Communication and Fundraising Tools, According to Nonprofits (participating in the 2018 Global NGO Technology Report survey. Still, interesting and instructive.) (Nonprofit Tech for Good)
- 15 Creative Summer Fundraising Ideas lists some obvious and some, well, they are all obvious, but still. A good read as it reminds us we can have fun while raising money. They are also good friendraising ideas. (Classy)
- While some of us are avoiding Alexa, she is here to stay, so read Alexa Users Can Now Donate to Charity Using Their Voice and What Your Nonprofit Needs to Know About Amazon Alexa. (TechCrunch, Nonprofit Tech for Good)

Learn something
- Itchin' to learn something new? Try a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). There's edX. They have professors from, to name only a few, Harvard, Berkley, Georgia Tech, Sorbonne, and McGill. EdX offers a wide range of courses, from science and math to the humanities. And they are free. Then there's Coursera. They, too, offer a range of courses taught by professors from top schools across the planet. Not free but ridiculously inexpensive. And OpenCulture aggregates course lists from several MOOC systems to make searching for just the right course easier.
- Put Volunteer Groups to Work, May 9. Free. (VolunteerMatch)
- The best of the webinars April 16-30 on Wild Apricot's 39 Free Nonprofit Webinars for April 2018: Nonprofit Accounting Update: Implementing the New Financial Reporting Standards and Preparing for Revenue Recognition Changes Ahead (April 19) and The State of Donor Retention and What You Can Do About It with Steven Shattuck (April 25).
