Lancaster County

  • The Lancaster County School Board is holding a Special Board Meeting-Public Hearing on the draft FY 2019 budget Thursday, March 1 at 5:30 pm at the LCPS Annex. There are two parts to the meeting. The first is the presentation on the draft FY19 budget and the second is the hearing at which members of the public may comment on the proposal. There are four requirements for public participation:
    1. They must come to the podium to address the board.
    2. They must legibly print their name on the signup sheet and indicate whether they are a resident of Lancaster County or not.
    3. Comments are limited to no more than 5 minutes.
    4. No discussion of specific personnel.
  • The Kilmarnock Planning Commission is holding a public hearing Monday, March 12 at 7:00 pm at Kilmarnock Town Hall (1 N. Main St, Kilmarnock). The purpose of the hearing is
    to solicit public comment of a conditional use permit application submitted by Farm & Home LLC, C/O Terrie Alderks "Terrie’s Place". The applicant wishes to relocate their existing food vending trailer from 90 N. Main ST to property at 469 N. Main ST, Tax Map 23-81D.   • Lancaster County Public Schools is seeking input on the draft SY 2018-2019 calendar.
  • Lancaster Primary School's Kindergarten, pre-Kindergarten, and 3-year old program registration takes place Wednesday, March 21 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the primary school. Caregivers and children are encouraged to attend to register, meet the teachers, and receive a backpack with treats (kids only). Learn more about registration requirements (PDF).   • The town of Irvington's Planning Commission is meeting Tuesday, March 6 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Town Office.
  • The Irvington Town Council meets Thursday, March 8 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Town Office.
  • The White Stone Business Association meets Thursday, March 8 at 5:30 pm at the Town Hall (433 Rappahannock Dr, White Stone).

Northumberland County

  • The Northumberland County School Board and Northumberland County Board of Supervisors are holding a joint budget meeting Monday, March 5 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the school board office. The public is invited to attend but only the government may speak.
  • The Northumberland County School Board will approve the FY19 budget Tuesday, March 20. Later that day, the board will present the budget to the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors.
  • The Northumberland County School Board will hold a regular meeting Monday, March 12 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Northumberland High School in the Auditorium.

Richmond County

  • Warsaw Town Council will hold its regular meeting Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 pm at the Town Office (78 Belle Ville Ln, Warsaw).
  • The town of Warsaw has a job opening for a full-time Public Works Operator. Learn more and apply.
  • The Richmond County Public Library's Library Board of Trustees meets Tuesday, March 13 from 4:00-5:00 pm at the library (Rappahannock Community College, 52 Campus Dr, Warsaw). The meeting is open to the public.
  • News from the Richmond County School Board: "The March 7, 2018 regularly monthly meeting of the Richmond County School Board will be held at the School Board Office, 92 Walnut Street, Warsaw, VA at 10:00 a.m."

Westmoreland County

  • The NNSWCD Board meets Wednesday, March 14 at 12:30 pm at the Richmond County Public Meeting Room, 101 Court Circle, Warsaw. The public is invited.
