Lancaster County

Richmond County

• Changes, new face, proposals introduced at Council meeting briefly accounts that the Warsaw Town Council approved the FY 2018 budget. The print edition of the June 14 edition of Northern Neck News and online edition (paywall) contain more details about what made it in the approved budget: body-worn cameras for police, software for the police department, and no changes for water and sewer assessments.

Westmoreland County

The purpose of the study was to avoid the pitfalls often experienced by the military when considering land use by working with nearby communities "to act as a team to prevent and/or reduce encroachment issues associated with future mission expansion and local growth."

• The Northern Neck Food Bank has volunteer gleaning opportunities available at the end of June and beginning of July. Dates, times, and signup are on their gleaning calendar. These efforts work toward the public policy goals of feeding people in need fresh and healthy produce and reducing food waste.
