Rappahannock General Hospital

Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock has launched their 2026 RGH Thanksgiving Boxes collection in preparation for their distribution of meal boxes to patients, employees, and community members.

Now through Wednesday, November 18 at Noon, the hospital is collecting completed boxes at the RGH Training Center (in the back of the hospital complex. Facing the infusion center, it is the long building on the right.). Completed boxes contain the following suggestions (more items are more than welcome). Please do not include any perishable items such as bread, fresh fruit or vegetables or refrigerated items.

  • Canned meats (ham, chicken, turkey, tuna, etc.)
  • Canned vegetables (green beans, peas, corn, carrots, yams, etc.)
  • Canned fruit (sweet and sugar free)
  • Stuffing mix
  • Boxed potatoes (mashed, scalloped, etc.)
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Juice or drinks (sweet and sugar free, individual sizes)
  • Desserts (sweet and sugar free)
  • Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, laundry and dish detergent)

Any food collected beyond the Thanksgiving Box needs will be used to stock the food pantry, ensuring continued support for families throughout the year.

Contact Pamela Harrington by email with any questions.
